Partner 2 (P2) Inserm U982, Mont-Saint-Aignan, has an international reputation in the field of neuropeptides, neuroendocrinology and neurosciences, as attested by the organization of several international congresses (including 4 conferences of the New York Academy of Sciences), by publishing 19 books on peptides, including 7 volumes of the Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, and more than 400 papers in international journals since 2000. J. Leprince is a peptide chemist and has been working for 20 years on the structure-activity relationships of neuropeptides with significant successes in the design of potent and stable agonists and antagonists of G protein-coupled receptors. He has also a recognized expertise in the characterization of antimicrobial peptides from frog skin secretions (more than 40 published articles) and their transformation into therapeutically valuable anti-infective agents. J. Leprince is responsible of the Peptide Synthesis facility of the platform PRIMACEN “http://primacen.crihan.fr” which is composed of 6 complementary core facilities that provide an ideal continuum for peptide research going from peptide synthesis to functional investigation. He is currently the chairman of the “Groupe Français des Peptides et des Protéines” in charge of the organization of the 19th national congress in 2015.
